Lucapa Diamond Company has officially appointed Nick Selby as its Managing Director, following his interim tenure as Chief Executive Officer. Selby, who initially joined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and later became Executive Director of Operations, has extensive experience in the diamond industry, including a lengthy stint at De Beers and a role at Gem Diamonds.

The announcement came after Lucapa named Selby as interim CEO in July, following the departure of long-serving Managing Director Stephen Wetherall. Selby expressed his enthusiasm for the role, citing the company's increasing production and ongoing search for high-quality diamond sources at the Lulo mine.
