Running from 16th to 19th September 2025, GJS2025 brings together more than 350 exhibitors across 750 booths, hosting 2,000+ buyers and welcoming over 10,000 visitors. Positioned as the #HamaraApnaShow, the exhibition is themed “Tyohar Bharat Ke, Show Humara Apna” and showcases an extensive range of jewellery collections — from heritage-inspired bridal designs to contemporary fashion-forward pieces, all timed ahead of the festive and wedding season.
Addressing the audience, CM Devendra Fadnavis emphasised the industry’s cultural and economic significance:
“The gems and jewellery industry is not only a strong contributor to India’s economy but also a vital generator of employment. Maharashtra is proud to play a pivotal role in this sector. GJC’s initiatives to bring more jewellers into the organised framework are commendable. The government looks forward to working with the Council on certification, skill development, and other key initiatives that will strengthen the industry further.”
Rajesh Rokde, Chairman, GJC, hailed the moment as historic. He said, “This is a proud occasion for the Council and for jewellers across India. Over the last two decades, GJC has become a trusted bridge between government and trade, advocating on issues ranging from GST and hallmarking to budget recommendations. Initiatives like Labham continue to empower jewellers through education and awareness, and with support from our government leaders, we look forward to an even brighter future.”
Avinash Gupta, Vice Chairman, GJC, added, “The government’s continued support strengthens our resolve to scale new heights. Even amid challenges like tariff changes, our industry has shown resilience. The next two years will be transformative for Indian gems and jewellery.”
MLC Smt. Chitra Kishor Wagh noted that Maharashtra’s reforms had given clarity to jewellers and reinforced the state’s position as a leading hub for the industry.
Meanwhile, Saiyam Mehra, Convenor of GJS, projected robust business outcomes, “With over 350 exhibitors and thousands of buyers, we anticipate a business turnover of nearly ₹32,000 crore during the four-day event. GJS is a catalyst for innovation, growth, and India’s global jewellery recognition.”
The exhibition also reinforces GJC’s long-standing mission of supporting India’s gem and jewellery trade with knowledge, advocacy, and initiatives that balance tradition with modern innovation.
