Christie’s Jewels Online sale in New York realized a total of $ 8,526,145, achieving 131% of its low estimate and attracting participation from buyers across major global markets.
The Americas accounted for 54% of bidders and buyers, followed by APAC at 26% and EMEA at 20%, indicating continued international engagement with the auction house’s digital platform.
White diamonds led the sale, with the top lot — an Important Diamond Ring featuring a 10.02-carat emerald-cut diamond by Tiffany & Co. — selling for $ 520,700. Another 10.03-carat round brilliant-cut diamond ring achieved $ 508,000.
Coloured gemstones also delivered strong results. A sapphire and diamond ring from the Estate of Suzanne G. Valenstein realized $ 317,500, significantly exceeding its estimate, while a Cartier carved emerald and diamond ring sold for $ 120,650. A tourmaline and diamond ring achieved $ 88,900 against a $ 20,000 low estimate.
Provenanced jewellery continued to perform above expectations. A set of spinel, ruby, diamond and gold jewellery from the Collection of Elizabeth Taylor sold for $107,950, while a gold and diamond evening bag realized $ 63,500.
Overall results reflect sustained demand for diamonds, coloured gemstones, and signed or provenanced pieces within the online auction segment.
