French high jewellery house Boucheron has unveiled its Carte Blanche 2026 high jewellery collection, titled ‘Human Being’, during Paris Haute Couture Week. Designed by Creative Director Claire Choisne and the Maison’s Design Studio, the collection examines themes of humanity, individuality and craftsmanship through five high jewellery sets built around a single jewellery form — the classic cluster necklace.
Each of the five sets comprises a necklace and a matching ring sharing the same silhouette while differing in materials, gemstones and technical execution. Rather than focusing solely on the rarity of gemstones, the collection highlights the role of human creativity and craftsmanship in defining value, presenting five distinct interpretations of the same design concept.
According to Boucheron, the collection explores the balance between what unites people and what makes every individual unique. Claire Choisne has reworked the Maison’s signature cluster motif using different combinations of precious materials and jewellery-making techniques, with each set demonstrating a separate expression of the design while maintaining a common visual identity.
Carte Blanche serves as Boucheron’s platform for experimental high jewellery, allowing its Design Studio to explore new creative themes and technical innovations each year. The 2026 edition continues this approach by centring the collection on the human hand, artistic interpretation and the craftsmanship behind each creation rather than on gemstone rarity alone.
The launch follows the Maison’s Histoire de Style 2026 collection, Nom: Boucheron Prénom: Frédéric, introduced earlier this year as a tribute to founder Frédéric Boucheron. While that collection revisited the Maison’s heritage and archives, Human Being shifts the focus towards contemporary design, personal expression and technical innovation within high jewellery.
The collection was unveiled alongside the Paris Haute Couture Week presentations, where leading luxury maisons traditionally debut their annual high jewellery creations.
