Senco Gold plans opening another 25 stores

Senco Gold, a Kolkatta based gold jewellery retail and export entity, plans to expand the number of its stores by 25, by 2016-17, and with this increase its revenues by around 60 percent to Rs 2,000 crore in the next three years, reports say.

The company is considering expansion mainly in western and northern region of India. It plans to invest Rs. 250 crore, is store expansion, which will include company-owned and franchise stores. At present, of its 52 stores, 22 are company-owned and the remaining are franchise based.

In the years ahead, the company is also considering expanding its export turnover, and launching another manufacturing unit, reports add.
