Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons to be Special Guest at IDCA Awards Dinner

According to a release Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons will be the special guest of honor at the Indian Diamond and Colorstone
Association's (IDCA) 23rd Annual Gala Awards Night on Saturday, June 2, at the Venetian Hotel.

The governor will join an audience of 700 jewelers and trade community
members as the IDCA presents its top annual awards. The Retail Jewelry Organization will be honored as "Retailer of the Year," Ms. Pamela Romano, President & Chief Operating Officer, of Friedman's Inc., as "Doyenne of the Year," and Mr. Navin Mehta of M/s. D. Navinchandra & Co., of Mumbai, India will receive the Pioneer Award.

"We are delighted that the Governor of Nevada, the Honorable Jim
Gibbons, will attend our annual awards dinner recognizing the greatest
achievements in our trade. This helps in building a bridge between The Indian Diamond, Colorstone and Jewelry community with Nevada" said IDCA President Rajesh Bhagat.

Rajesh Bhagat said Gov. Gibbons is attending in recognition of the IDCA's prominent role in the gem and jewelry industry, and also because the gem and jewelry industry is destined to become an even more important part of Nevada's economy.
