IBM plans providing solutions to Indian jewellery companies

IBM is reaching its technological expertise to jewellery manufacturers and retailers in India, assisting them to improve their information technology set-up, and in turn their efficiency, reports say. IBM intends to assist them in providing customized solutions to build a cost-effective and highly scaleable IT set-up, and also help the jewellers install new processes and reduce expenses, reports suggest.

Applying technology can enable the companies to gain improved world standard output, reports say. Jewellery companies like Thangamayil Jewellery, Venus Jewels (Surat), are some already applying IBM solutions to improvise their manufacturing and production, reports add.
