A Patek Philippe watch stood as the top lot in the Christie’s Hong Kong Important Watches Autumn auction held on November 27, 2013. The auction achieved setting new records and in attracting trong bidding interest. Sam Hines, Head of the Watches Department, Asia, said, “The most coveted watches from vintage to contemporary realized exceptional prices specifically for thirteen state-of-the-art wristwatches by Rolex from the Day-Date Collection, which was 100% sold. With five to eight bidders, four Patek Philippe Ref. 3970 all achieved well above their estimates, including the rare rose salmon dial with Breguet numerals that fetched HK$2.6 million/ US$339,552, a world auction record for the reference. We witnessed fierce competition in the room and on Christie's LIVE™ for antique pocket watches especially from manufacturers like Patek Philippe.”

The sale overall achieved US$22,249,809.
