UAE issues Platinum, Gold and Silver stamps

Emirates Post, the official postal service of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), issued a set of platinum, gold and silver stamps as a tribute to the nation�s vice-president and prime minister and the ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accoding to reports.

The stamps, issued on the occasion of the 35th National Day, will be available in denominations of Dhs. 750 ($204) for platinum, Dhs. 350 ($95) for gold and Dhs. 150 ($40) for silver. They have been designed as collectors� items and cannot be used for postage. It is also the first time that Emirates Post has issued stamps in precious metal.
