A three-row natural pearl necklace sells as top lot Christie's London sale

Christie's London sale of important jewels achieved sales prices above presale estimates for some of its lots including the top lot, an important three-row natural pearl necklace.

The three-row natural pearl necklace went down the hammer for over twice its presale estimate, for $1,636,909. The other lot was a natural diamond and pearl brooch, which sold over 12 times its presale estimate, for $663,829.

Overall the sale achieved revenues worth $13,424,431.

Some of the other top lots included an 18.79-carat, VVS2 circular-cut diamond pendant and a 7.07-carat, VVS1 rectangular-cut fancy yellow diamond ring.
