IIGJ holds its 6th convocation ceremony

Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai is a project of the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of the Government of India. It is a non-profit full-fledged Institute equipped with its jewellery designing and CAD-CAM studios, model making and casting workshops and gemological and diamond grading laboratories to train students in all aspects of Jewellery designing and Manufacturing from Concepts to Marketing of Jewellery Products. Besides conducting a number of certificate courses applicable to the various fields of jewellery industry, it also conducts a three year course in Diploma in Jewellery Designing & Manufacturing Techniques.

This year, the Institute held the convocation of its Sixth batch of diploma students. The Convocation Ceremony was followed by the 15th Award Ceremony of the Short Term Certificate Courses and was graced by Vasant Mehta, Chairman, IIGJ, Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC and Chief Guest for the function, Board of Directors, Advisory Board Members, Course Committee Members, Faculty, Staff, Students of IIGJ, parents and media persons. It also hosted its 2nd Award Ceremony of the Certificate Course. Twelve graduates of the Diploma course received their Diploma certificates while a total of 108 students of the Short Term Courses also received their certificates.
