Sotheby’s Geneva is offering jewellery from the collection of legendary actress Gina Lollobrigida during its Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels sale on May, 14. The collection with 23 lots will feature pieces from Bulgari collected by the actress in 1950s and 1960s, including a pair of Bulgari natural pearl and diamond pendant earrings, a Bulgari 19.03 ct. diamond ring, circa 1962, a 1954 Bulgari diamond necklace/bracelet combination, a pair of 1964 Bulgari emerald and diamond earclips.

Part of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to stem cell research, a cause which is close to the actress who hopes that the contribution will help fund an international hospital for stem cell research.

The auction will also include other important jewellery pieces, some being: a 75 ct. cushion-shaped fancy yellow diamond jewel to be sold with a 6.93 ct. light pink brilliant-cut diamond, and a 34.78 ct. circular-cut diamond, 34 jewelry pieces designed by 20th century jewelry designer Suzanne Belperron, a 27.90 ct., D color, internally flawless, type IIa, cushion-shaped diamond, a rare 11.71 ct. Kashmir sapphire ring amongst others.
