Internet visitor traffic up 26% for jewellery in November

Internet traffic in the U.S., for retail segments of jewellery and luxury goods saw a 26 percent spurt to 24.5 million, in November 2012, according to comScore Inc, reports say.

Leading retailers with also a jewellery portfolio and who noted an increase in the visitor traffic included Kohl's (56 percent to 17.2 million), JCPenney (48 percent to 16.5 million), Macy's ( 46 percent to 20.4 million), Target (44 percent to 37.3 million), Sears (43 percent to 28.9 million), reports say. This trend has been attributed to retailers offering discounts and promotions with the intent to tap eager shoppers.
