Botswana’s diamond exports drop 61% in July

In July 2012, Botswana’s dimaond exports dropped 61 percent (on y-o-y basis) to $260.4 ‎million, reports say. The export figures are a provoded in the data released by the Bank of Botswana. The bank’s data is a representative sample of the country's full diamond ‎trade ‎and ‎is ‎sourced ‎from the Diamond Trading Company Botswana, ‎Leo ‎Schachter ‎Botswana, ‎Teemane ‎Manufacturing Co. and the Central Statistics Office.‎

The country’s diamond exports in the period January – July 2012 dropped 31 percent ‎to ‎‎$2.28 ‎billion, reports add.
