Diamond exports from Botswana plunged 15 percent (on y-o-y basis) in June 2012, to value $352.6 million, reports say. The country’s diamond exports have been on the decline in the first six months of 2012, dropping by 29 percent to ‎‎$1.89 ‎billion.

The data on the country’s diamond exports is reported by the Bank of Botswana. This data is a representative sample of the country's full diamond trade ‎and ‎is ‎sourced ‎from the Diamond Trading Company Botswana, Leo ‎Schachter ‎Botswana, ‎Teemane ‎Manufacturing Co. and the Central Statistics Office.‎
