Terence Goodlace new Gold Field SA Head

Previously headed international operations

Gold Fields Ltd. said that Terence Goodlace will replace the late Brendan Walker as head of its South African operations, with immediate effect. Walker was tragically killed in a car accident on December 30, 2006.

Goodlace was previously head of Gold Fields� international operations. The firm�s South African operations include the Beatrix, Driefontein and Kloof gold mines, as well as the recently acquired South Deep gold mine.

Peter McArdle, currently head of technical and strategic planning for the international operations, will act as head of international operations until a permanent candidate is chosen.
