Namwaka Diamonds appoints new chief executive

Some changes have occurred in the management level at Namakwa Diamonds. Theo Botoulas is appointed as its new chief executive following the resignation of its former chief executive Richard Collocott. Also, Edward Haslam has resigned as its non-executive chairman of the company board. Haslam will be replaced by Melissa Sturgess – the former senior independent non-executive director at Namwaka Diamonds.

The new chief executive – Theo Botoulas holds over 20 years of experience in the areas of mining operations, asset management and establishing projects in junior mining companies, reports add. He has previously served as chief executive of Diamond Core Resources Ltd., and as acting chief operations officer of Namakwa Diamonds from 2008 until he resigned in 2010.
