The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) is extending its services to help trade members in the U.S. comply with the U.S. State Department requirements of rough diamond importers and exporters to file an annual report with the Office of the Special Advisor for Conflict Diamonds at the U.S. Department of State each calendar year on April 2st.

The report needs to state the total carats of rough diamond imports and exports and any stockpiles remaining at the end of the year and after completion it is required to be submitted by email to USKimberleyProcess@state.gov.

Although there is no specific format of stating the required information, the JVC is providing a form to members on the JVC Forms Bank at www.jvclegal.org or via its helpline - 212-997-2002.

In the U.S., the Clean Diamond Trade Act of 2003 enforces the Kimberley Process.
