India Pavilion at BaselWorld 2012 to host 47 companies

The focus is on promotion India as a Design Destination

Forty-seven Indian gem and jewellery companies are forming the Indian Pavilion at Basel World 2012, promoting Brand India as a design destination. The Indian Pavillion will be hosted by the Gem and Jewellery Export promotion Council of India (GJEPC), the country’s apex body of the G&J industry.

Mr. Rajiv Jain, Chairman, GJEPC added, “With our participation at Basel World, the Council aims at increasing the trade intensity towards India and enhancing our leadership position in the design arena. This year the exhibits that will be showcased will portray high standards of craftsmanship along with unmatched creativity and promote India as being the Ultimate Design Destination.”

In addition to the India Pavilion, at Hall 6, Hall of Universe, India's expertise will be showcased at the INDIA PALACE, Booth H40 at Hall 2. GJEPC will work towards strengthening the trade relations amongst key international players and Indian exhibitors.

BaselWorld 2012 is slated between March 8 to 15, 2012.
