Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa holds elections

Annual elections of the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa recently unfolded, in which all the members of its Executive Committee have been re-elected. According to the statutes of the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa, elections are held annually to select serving board members.

The results of the recent election include: Board of directors of the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa: Ernest Blom as Chairman, Lionel Noach as Vice Chairman, M. Ellis as Treasurer. The Board members who were re-elected include: Manny de Amorim, Mark Reichman, Sarel Snyman, Trevor Temkin, David Woolf, J. Nortje, M.V. Moosa and N. Parag.

“With this re-election of its board of directors, the DDC of SA has confirmed its steady course. I am sure that it will continue to play an active and visible role in the WFDB and will continue to advance its interests," WFDB president Avi Paz stated.

Ernest Blom has chaired the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa from 2003 to date. He is currently the vice-president and an honorary lifetime president of the WFDB and a founding member of the World Diamond Council. Lionel Noach was elected vice chairman last year.
