Botswana’s diamond exports drop 69% in January 2012

January 2012 delivered disappointing results for Botswana’s diamond exports. The country’s total diamond exports (including rough diamonds and polished diamonds) dipped 69.2 percent to $109 million. Reports also state that this is the fourth consecutive month that the country’s diamond exports decreased.

Compared to December 2011, total diamond exports in January 2012 dropped 31.6 percent.
