JEWELLERY Expo Ukraine 2006 exhibition from November 23-26 seems to have done well at least this is what Indian exhibitors expressed as they felt the market holds good future potential. The crowd turnout was moderate on the first three days (average first day crowd: 4,500) but fell considerably on the final day despite it being a Sunday – and also had far too many consumers.

Silver studded jewellery, loose gemstones and CZ stones were in great demand from manufacturers but gold studded jewellery got an average response with price being a major factor.

All the exhibitors expressed a willingness to participate next year but want better branding and stall locations. Some exhibitors want to be able to sell their goods after the show and asked for the customs restrictions to be lifted.
