POP DIVA Mariah Carey was presented with a $5.4 million diamond and platinum necklace according to a recent report. Prince Azim, 24, son of the Sultan of Brunei, presented the 8-carat flawless diamond and platinum necklace with a matching ring. Her latest album, Emancipation of Mimi, was also a platinum selling.

Carey received the gift prior to her live performance at New Yorks Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 fans. A private jet delivered the gift.

According to a research from the Platinum Guild International, over 40 celebrities chose to wear platinum jewellery for the Emmy�s, with the highest valued piece standing at $5 million.
