At a time when the soaring gold prices are underlining consumer buying for gold jewellery with caution, the forthcoming 8th Dubai City of Gold Conference slated for 13th November 2011, will add a refreshing side to this market as it aims to unveil new varieties of gold including new colours, purple and blue, as well as new gold effects and composites. The subjects will e touched upon at the event through presentations by leading personalities from the gold bullion, jewellery and diamond industries.

The conference is an annual event organized by the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group. Added to the new perspective on gold, the conference also would touch upon ways to deal with consumer demand which has been affected by the increased gold prices, and the global economic strain, through insights into new research and development techniques which are likely to influence the gold and jewellery markets in the near future – some being new casting processes and production techniques.
