Blue Nile appoints new CFO

David Binder has been appointed Blue Nile’s new chief financial officer (CFO) and is expected to assume the role from August 22, 2011. Prior to his new appointment, Binder has served as CFO and treasurer at Infospace Inc., an online search and e-commerce company. He also held the offices of vice president of finance at Infospace.

From the date of his appointment, Binder will be given a non-statutory stock option to purchase 37,500 shares of common stock of Blue Nile.

The company also appointed Terri Maupin, who currently serves as vice president of finance and controller, as its new chief accounting officer.
