18 Commercial Complex owners in the Surat's Diamond market to launch CCTV cameras

In a measure to ensure better security in the diamond market in Surat, around 18 Commercial Complex owners in the Diamond market of Mini Bazaar Varachha, Surat plan to install CCTv cameras in a span of 10 to 15 days. The complexes face the main market are expect the cameras will help them keep a close vigilance of the Diamond trade activities. In a meeting with the complex owners, Surat Diamond Association President Dinesh Navadia discussed the installations of the CCTv cameras, which the owners will put up at their own expense. The initiation has been that of the Surat Diamond Association with the owners and /Managements of the Commercial market.

Post the recent three bomb blasts in Mumbai, two of which hit the city’s diamond markets in Zaveri Bazaar and Opera House, the gem and jewellery industry saddened at the loss of fellow traders has been most concerned to beef up security measures henceforth.
