Diamonds from Panna mines up for auction

Planned to begin from July 25, the auction of diamonds mined from Panna’s shallow mines in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is slated to continue until all diamonds are sold. The auction will offer 110 diamonds of gem, off-colour and industrial quality, weighing a total of around 99.72 carats. Along with these will be other big and small diamonds. The auction will be held through the Diamond Officer in Panna.

Bids will be accepted between 9am to 11am post inspection of the diamonds. According to the procedures of the sale, the bidder is required to deposit about $100 ahead of the auction in order to participate. The highest bidder is required to deposit 20 percent amount of the bid at the Diamond Office, Panna and the diamonds can be obtained after the remainder amount is paid up within 30 days.
