Istanbul Jewellery Show to begin on 13 October

Organisers of the Istanbul Jewelry Show October are expecting a good turnout of visitors and business at the show this year which is slated between 13–16 October 2011. The event is focused on specialized product groups directed at Eastern Europe, Middle East, Russian, UAE and CIS countries’ buyers. The strategic geographical position allows Turkey to expand its economic activities not only in Europe with the European Union, but also in Central Asia and the Caucasus. At the same time, Turkey is an important trade centre. According to IGEME’s (Export Promotion Centre of Turkey) latest 2010 report, Turkey is one of the global leaders, both in production and in exports, ranking among the top five countries in the world in gold jewelry production and second in exports following Italy.

The event will offer an opportunity to tap buyers from the countries mentioned, networking and business opportunities, to be set for the festive season.

The show is expected to host around 600 exhibitors and over 18000 visitors from target countries. The exhibiting products will include gold and diamond jewelry, diamonds, precious and semi-precious gemstones, gold mounting, pearls, silver jewelry, machines, watches, jewelry equipment and materials and display materials as well as safety devices and software.
