EQC launches its first membership drive

The European Quality Circle (EQC) is a European marketing and consumer-oriented organisation, providing jewellers and jewellery retailers a gamut of professional and education services. It is launching its first membership drive, inviting participation from jewellery retailers within international markets and the European Union. EQC director Eyal Atzmon announced this drive and mentioned, “Currently, we are processing close to 200 membership applications from jewellery retailers worldwide, among them prominent jewellery retail chains as well as independent jewellers. While during the past 12 months we already have run a number of pilot jewellery business and sales training programmes, we're now ready to offer these programmes as part of the EQC membership package”.

The Membership carries some features including: the EQC Buyer Group with which “The bundling of jewellery retailers into a buyer group offers them added strength and position in negotiations with gem and jewellery suppliers," Atzmon said. EQC's tailor-made business and management training courses for diamond and jewelry manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers are also part of the package. These include management and security which have already begun, diamond and gem identification courses held in close cooperation with HRD Antwerp NV, Merchandising & Product Management; Human Resources Management & Recruitment; Communications Strategies; Building Action Plans; Individual Mentoring; How to Hold Successful Team Meetings; Customer Relations Management; Building Vendor Displays; and The Art of Negotiation. The membership package contains many more such features.
