Tanishq awards bumper prize for ‘Queen of Diamond 2010' contest

Tanishq has found a winner of its ‘Queen of Diamond 2010' contest bumper prize - which is diamond jewellery worth Rs. 50 lakh. The winner, Indore's Rizwana Samplewala, was presented the award at the hands of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, in New Delhi.

The jewellery retail major has been organising the contest in the past years, and took this year’s edition to a larger scale. The contest was run pan-India beginning October 2010, with a voew to tapping the diamond jewellery demand in the festive season.

It invited buyers to enter the contest with purchasing of jewellery worth Rs 15,000/- or more at a Tanishq outfit and stand the chance to win prizes. The retailer has designated a total of Rs. 5 crore worth of diamond jewellery to be given away as prizes.

The contest also saw seven regional awards of Rs. 4 lakh each being presented.
