India's cut and polished diamond exports rise 65.24% in August

India’s total gem and jewellery exports in August 2010 rose 64 percent to US$ 3,155.14 million, from US$ 1,884.30 million in August 2009. Cut and polished diamond exports valued US$ 2,301.77 million after rising 65.24 percent from US$ 1,392.99 million in the same month last year.

Gold jewellery exports stood at US$ 527.04 million with a 49.61 percent increase over US$ 352.27 million in the corresponding month of 2009. Coloured gemstones exports valued US$ 28.66 million with a 14.05 percent rise from US$ 25.13 million in the same month last year.
