Convocation ceremony of Hyderabad Institute of Gem & Jewellery gets underway

A large gathering of students witnessed the convocation ceremony of the Hyderabad Institute of Gem & Jewellery on 1st August 2010, when over 100 students received diploma certificates for gemmology, diamond grading and Jewellery designing. The event’s keynote address was presented by Smt. Daggubati Purandeshwari, Hon. Minister of State, Human Resources Development, Government of India, founder member of the institute and also a gemmologist and a student of Dr. Jayshree Panjikar- the Chief Guest at the occasion.

Dr. Jayshree Panjikar delivered a seminar on Synthetic Gems and Treatments on gems delivered, including recent treated synthetic rubies, treated -synthetic blue and yellow sapphires.
