Swarovski has launched a new 600 sq. ft. boutique in the Palladium Mall, Mumbai, which also carries its new retail architectural theme called ‘ Crystal Forest’ signifying infinite possibilities of crystal and the company’s deep affinity with nature. The creativity has been inspired by designer Tokujin Yoshioka. Ms. Sukanya DuttaRoy, Country Manager, Swarovski-Consumer Goods Business-India said, “Today, Swarovski India consists of 20 stores (in cities such as- Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad). We have been present in the market for about a decade now and our experience has promoted us to expand further. We are looking at opening 2 more stores of the new boutique design this year.

The ‘Crystal Forest’ theme transcends with unconventional materials and forms like stainless steel prisms, lighting, displays in vibrant colours depicting fashion trends, in-store walls textured with reflective white relief prisms. It embodies two concepts very dear to Swarovski: Modern Lux and the Poetry of Precision. Ms. Sukanya DuttaRoy, Country Manager, Swarovski-Consumer Goods Business-India inaugurated the new facility in Mumbai, where the company also unveiled its autumn winter collection 2010 – 2011.

The Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 collection designed by creative director Nathalie Colin speaks of the Swarovski woman engaged in a two-fold quest. The creativity is a blend of experimental and traditional concepts. Natural elements, frozen water, clouds, wind and silence are all given form throughout the three themes of this collection: “Nordic Dream”, “Liquid Dream” and “Dream Box”. The jewellery and accessories make stunning use of vintage shapes, cool tones that graduate from shades of Nordic blue to palest grey, and the refinement of crystal beading techniques.
