In a collaborative effort, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and the World Gold Council (WGC) have introduced a collection of gold coins known as the Palm edition, which is a new addition to the existing “Visions of Dubai” gold coin series. The Visions of Dubai series reaffirms and celebrates Dubai’s status as the ‘City of Gold.’”

Coins in the Palm edition feature the image of the Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the front side and the Palm Jumeirah on the back and the DMCC stamp of quality and authenticity. They are produced by Emirates Gold Refinery DMCC.

The Palm edition coins are made in 24-karatgold in sizes from 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce and 1/10 ounces and are retailed through Dubai Duty Free, Siroya Jewellers, Joy Alukkas Group, Mahallati Jewellery and Popley Jewellers.

With this initiative, the DMCC intends to inspire the innovative spirit of Dubai and highlight its world-class landmarks. The collection has enabled WGC expand and enhance its marketing efforts for gold across the world.
