WGC appoints Lamb to enhance gold jewellery market

David Lamb, a renowned name in the gem and jewellery industry, has been appointed by the World Gold Council as managing director of jewellery. Lamb will assume office from July 1, 2010 and will operate from New York. Also, he will be a member of WGC's leadership team.

Lamb’s professional portfolio speaks of credits including developing the Trilogy concept - ‘For your past, your present, your future’ for the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), having worked as executive director at DTC, and over 20 years experience working with leading international advertising agencies, especially as executive vice president at JWT.

At WGC Lamb will work on strategic development of the global gold jewellery market and on enhancing the premium market in the U.S. WGC is confident that Lamb’s experience in strategic creativity add value to the WGC and the global jewellery market.
