AGS announces recipients of 2010 Circle of Distinction Honorees

The awards will be given during the 10th AGS Circle of Distinction Dinner

The American Gem Society (AGS) recently announced names of the 2010 Circle of Distinction Honorees, including winners of its Lifetime Achievement Award and the Triple Zero Awards.

Terry Burman, Chief Executive Officer of Signet Jewelers Ltd., and Chairman of Sterling Jewelers Inc. was named winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Triple Zero Award winners included: Phyllis Bergman of Mercury Ring Corp; Allen Brill, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rolex Watch U.S.A.; and the Clark Family of B.C. Clark, Inc., B.C. Clark, Jr., Chairman Emeritus; Jim Clark, Chairman; Coleman Clark, President; and Mitchell Clark, Executive Vice President.

The awards will be handed at the Society’s 10th Circle of Distinction Dinner, on July 25 at The Plaza in New York City. “The awards presentation is one of the highlights of the Circle of Distinction dinner, and it’s always a great pleasure to honor each year’s recipients,” said Ruth Batson, Executive Director and CEO of the American Gem Society. “The dinner is a great opportunity for our members to meet, mingle with their peers, and honor some of the industry’s best and brightest professionals.”
