The Diamond Trading Company (DTC) appointed David Lamb as new worldwide marketing director of DTC. At the time of the announcement Lamb remains executive vice president at J. Walter Thompson, an advertising agency for De Beers. Lamb will take the DTC post during the first quarter of 2006, according to De Beers.

Lamb succeeds Stephen Lussier, who was promoted to director of external and corporate affairs for the De Beers Group. "I really cannot think of a better person for this role than David. He has a wonderful range of experience and has worked closely with De Beers in the past," said Varda Shine, managing director designate of the DTC.

According to Shine, Lamb developed a number of DTC marketing campaigns including the "Past, Present, and Future -- 3 Stone Ring" concept. Dominic Brand, currently DTCs marketing director, has been appointed as deputy director, worldwide marketing and will support Lamb, but will act as interim director until Lamb takes the post in early 2006.
