FICCI to send G&J delegation to China and Hong Kong

The visit is intended to build bilateral trade

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is preparing for a high-level business delegation from India’s gems and jewellery sector to visit China and Hong Kong, from 13th September to 20th September 2010, coinciding with the Shanghai EXPO 2010 & Hong Kong Jewellery & Gems Fair.

FICCI has underlined its purpose of the visit as one to promote economic cooperation and bilateral trade with China and Hong Kong within the gems and jewellery sector, through trade, technology transfer, joint ventures etc. Visits to the Shanghai EXPO 2010, B2B meetings, visits to various jewellery manufacturing units in Shenzhen & the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gems Fair, are part of the delegation's agenda. A conference followed by B2B meetings with the top industry player in Shanghai has been organized on the 15th of September at the Shanghai EXPO. Hon’ able Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Anand Sharma is expected to inaugurate this conference.

The visit of the delegation is supported by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
