GJIIE 2010– A grand opening !

More than 8000 visitors expected in 3 days

The sixth edition of the Gem & Jewellery India International Exhibition (GJIIE) opened today at the Chennai Trade Centre. This show is undoubtedly the largest B2B trade show in southern india and is a joint endavour of Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchants Association (MJDMA) and United Business Media (UBM) and is being held between 23-25 January 2010.

The show was inaugurated by Shri G.K. Vasan , Honorable Union Minister for Shipping Government of India and Mr Rajiv Jain was the Guest of Honour .Around 150 exhibitors comprising of jewellery manufacturers, retailers, designers, raw material suppliers, tools and equipments manufacturers have showcased their products in the show.

Sanjeev Khaira, Managing Director, UBM India Pvt Ltd says," We are very delighted outcome of the GJIIE 2010. The show has grown by over 50% in comparison to 2009. Our pre-registeration numbers have been overwhelming and if they come through, we expect to have over 8000 visitors".
