FICCI to host International Conference on Gems and Jewellery

The conference will be held in Mumbai in January, 2010

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organising a conference entitled - International Conference on Gems and Jewellery: Transformation led growth, on 15th January, 2010 at Mayfair Banquets, Mumbai. The conference is being positioned as a platform for the Indian jewellery industry to discuss the key issues affecting growth in the changing business environment. FICCI intends the conference would throw light on strategies to move up the value chain, increase market share and to focus on integration based on global standards.

Mr. Mehul Choksi, Chairman and Mr. Prasad Kapre, Co-Chairman of FICCI Gems and Jewellery Committee are actively involved in making this conference a success. The event will be addressed by International Experts, senior government officials and stalwarts of Indian Gems and Jewellery industry. A FICCI-Technopak Knowledge Paper on the way forward for the Indian Gems and Jewellery Industry will be released at the conference.

The Conference is supported by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF).
