The Jewellers Association, Jaipur has scheduled the Jewellers Association Show (JAS-09) to be held between 24th – 27th July, 2009 at Birla Auditorium , Jaipur. It also released a poster inviting entries to for the Jewellery Design Award, which will be held during the show. The poster was released by Hon’ble Tourism Minister Bina Kak amongst a gathering including - Shri Rajendra Saboo - Vice-President of Jewelelrs Association, & members of Show Committee Shri Rajesh Dhamani, Shri Dinesh Malpani, Shri M.P. Sharma & Shri Pramod Derewala, convener of Jewellery Design Award competition.

Shri Pramod ji Derewala announced that the theme for the JAS-09 Jewellery Design Competition would be ‘a journey through colours’, wherein designers are being invited on an all India level to submit entries in four categories - Wedding Jewellery Award for Bride (for Jewellers), Wedding Jewellery Award for Groom (for Jewellers), Casual Wear Jewellery Design Award (for Designer/Artisans), Fashion Accessories Design Award (for Designer/artisans). The winners of the competition would be honoured with prizes worth more than Rs.1.00 lac, sponsored by Derewala Jewellery Industries Ltd.
