Su-Raj Diamonds earns 25% rise in net sales

Su-Raj Diamonds and Jewellery Limited saw a 25 percent rise in its net sales to Rs.5.37 billion in the second quarter ended September 30, 2008. Net profits slipped by 23 percent to Rs.94.8 million over the same period last year. It also incurred higher operating expenses, which increased by 27 percent to Rs.5.24 billion.

In H1 of the year 2008, the company saw a 2 percent hike in its net profits which amounted to Rs.246.1 million. In the same period, its revenues increased by 35 percent to Rs.11.11 billion and operating expenses stood at Rs.10.80 billion rising by rose 37 percent.
