The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) has appointed for the first time in its corporate history a Chief Marketing Officer, as it is restructuring its management and expanding its role within the industry. Ms. Alissa Goren is the new Chief Marketing Officer and Deputy Managing Director, being promoted from her role as Director of Marketing, PR and Trade Shows at IDI since 2004. IDI Chairman Moti Ganz said, "This is the first time that we have appointed a Chief Marketing Officer, and the creation of this position emphasises the importance we attach to the marketing function at IDI."

Goren will be responsible for marketing strategy and implementation of the IDI Group of Companies. IDI Managing Director Eli Avidar said, "This is an important step for IDI and will enable us to further expand our marketing initiatives – in existing and developing markets. There is no one more fitting to hold this position than Alissa Goren."

Goren has been associated with the IDI since 2000. Her appointment in the new role is being looked upon as a supportive measure in the group's reorganization which has taken place over the last year.
