diamond world news service

G.L.D.A., Inc. has announced rescheduling its Las Vegas Winter Gem & Jewelry Show, following as luke warm response to the earlier dates announced. The venet was previously scheduled for January 25 – 27, 2009 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas and has been rescheduled to August 30 - September 1, 2009, this being a peak time for business.

The August time period would coincide with the busiest "International Fashion & Accessories Trade Show" of the year. The two shows would compliment each other due to their type of subject. The High Fashion Trade Show brings over 120,000 wholesale buyers each year from all over the world, which would be increased when coupled with G.L.D.A. Jewellery buyers. For the past few years there has been a coming together of the fashion and jewellery industries, which compliment rather than compete with each other.

The High Fashion Jewelry and Watch Show will have a large portfolio of deliverables - fine jewellery, diamonds, watches, gems, pearls and opals, silver and bead designs along with high fashion costume jewellery and jewellery related gift items.

The High Fashion Trade Show has a comprehensive list of exhibitors including some prominent companies. The G.L.D.A. intends to create a unique platform for a jewellery specific show, through its show. The event will be promoted through adverts, direct mail, email & fax advertising, to invite global participation.
