TGJTA becomes first affiliate at DGC

Thai industry is paving its way into the global gem industry

Thai gemstone industry has inched its way into the Middle East markets, one of the fastest growing markets for gem, diamonds and jewellery, by becoming the first affiliate member of the Dubai Gems Club (DGC). The Thai Gem and Jewellery Traders Association (TGJTA) members will have access to tap the DGC’s network of local and international markets and can employ the Club’s dedicated trading facilities at the Almas Tower The TGJTA has over 200 members.

The DGC is an initiative of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre’s (DMCC) coloured stones and pearl division, to provide a common trading platform for the coloured gemstone and pearl industry.

Our partnership with TGJTA will add value to Dubai’s Dh70 million annual coloured stones trade,” said Gaiti Rabbani, executive director of the DMCC’s coloured stones and pearl division, in a report.
