A De Beers retail store has opened recently in San Francisco, which perhaps could add in much zest to the US gem and jewellery industry in present economic stress. The store occupies 2,659-square-foot on 185 Post Street in Union Square, San Francisco.

Here the retail merchandise would be new collections designed by De Beers Creative Director Raphaele Canot such as Ice on Fire, Radiance and Talisman. With this, would be bridal collections, single design high-end jewellery and signature collections like Wildflowers. The store has wide spaces, with interiors of ebony walls, etched-glass paneling. Facilities for private viewing have been accommodated in a VIP room, while price points for the diamond jewellery are displayed within the jewellery cases.

This store adds to the existing six North American stores of the company. The six stores are in Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, New York and Washington, D.C., and in Beverly Hills.
