Rajesh Exports’ net profits up by 104 percent

Plans are on for opening 100 Shubh Jewellers stores

Rajesh Exports has gained a 104 percent increase in its net profits which amounted to Rs.2,065.62 million during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008. Its revenues increased by 25.72 percent year-on-year, valued at Rs.86,670.15 million ($2.02 billion).

The company is a jewelry manufacturer and retails two brands at present – Shubh and Laabh. It has recently expanded its retail network, adding 30 new outfits under the Laabh retail chain across India. Investment in its retail venture was earmarked as Rs.450 crore. Further it intends to open Shubh Jewellers retail chain South India. The chain would be of 100 retail outlets.
