diamond world news service

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) is going to publish an Eco Report series, launching at the JCK Las Vegas, scheduled for May 30-June 3 in Las Vegas. IGI is responding to the need for environmental consciousness in the jewellery industry and is making its contribution by printing its reports on recycled and/or biodegradable paper using soy- and water-based inks. Since, IGI issues thousands of grading reports for diamonds and colored gemstones, the Eco Report series will be a strong platform to establish its stand of eco-friendliness. Earth Day is being celebrated worldwide on April 22, which IGI has taken as a cue to further its contribution to the environment.
