CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, has upgraded its website with new features. It can be viewed on its official web link www.cibjo.org. The changes have been incorporated to be on par with the 2008 CIBJO Congress, which is being held in Dubai currently, at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

Gaetano Cavalieri, the CIBJO president said "Our aim is to enable members of the industry to maintain an online dialogue." The website development process spanned six months. “The aim is of producing a service that not only presents a current picture of what is happening in CIBJO, but also serves as an interactive tool for our members and office holders," Cavalieri said.

Part of the website is password protected for CIBJO members only. Most of the website is open and includes a general jewellery forum, where all members of the industry can interact. The website was created by Kognitor of Udine, Italy, and its content was coordinated and edited by MarketDirect Business Communications Ltd., CIBJO's communications provider.
