An employee of a diamond company in Bharat Diamond Bourse commits suicide

The deceased is a 20 year old man from Surat

The deceased identified as Jay Lathia, 20 years old, allegedly jumped off from a window located on the 6th floor, Tuesday evening. The police has begun investigation on the case and have recorded it as Accidental Death Report. 

According to reports, the employee showed up to his office for the first day after a 3-month lockdown. Originally a native of Surat, Lathia was allegedly close to the owners of the diamond company, whose details we are not aware of yet. 

Lathia left for Mumbai from Surat early morning on Tuesday in a car with the owner's nephew and one other employee. At about 5:30 pm, Lathia went to the public restroom on the 6th floor. He allegedly scaled the window opposite the restroom and jumped off the window. The motive of the suicide is yet to be known as the deceased has not left any suicide note. The family is being questioned as part of the on going investigation.
